Installation key

I know this might sound strange, even a little funny. But I'm trying to install this new version of Windows and I get to the point where it asks me for the 25 digit key. I cannot find it. I downloaded this off of the webite as an *.iso and burned it on to a DVD. I've checked all of the files and folders and cannot find this key. I need help locating this key.
Thanks....

They e-mailed it to you. If you didn't get it re-registar at the website. -- AMD-FX-60 2gb OCZ Plat. memory ATI 1800 AIW 2x74gb Raptors in RAID-0 2x400gb WD HDD in RAID-1 Epox Nvidia-4 Ultra M/B

I don't remember registaring (sorry, sloppy spelling). Where do I do that?

I forget the site but just go to microsoft.com and then Vista. Just a note, it you got this copy from a "torrent" site you may have issues. I have heard bad stories from people with bad ISO's. -- AMD-FX-60 2gb OCZ Plat. memory ATI 1800 AIW 2x74gb Raptors in RAID-0 2x400gb WD HDD in RAID-1 Epox Nvidia-4 Ultra M/B Senior Member Overclockers.com

Is there a way to divine my product key from my system? I must have lost the e-mail with the key in it and I am thinking of running Vista on a new PC. I thought they allowed 10 (?) activations from one key?
Thanks

Open your browser, type in 'google' in the address bar. After the Google page opens, type in 'key finder' in the search field and then either press the <Enter> key or left click on the "Google Search" button.

I like rockxp.exe. Don't know if it works in Vista.

Key Finder is not compatible with Vista. I tried it. I also tried beta 3.

Doesn't work on Vista. Runs, but doesn't retrieve the product key. Other tabs cause a hang.

SiSoft Sandra Lite 2007 latest version might be worth a try.

System Information for Windows does run fine on on my Vista x64 box, except for the one function that gives the Product Keys: "Secrets." That turns up a blank report screen. Everything else works fine. Go figure.

I just booted up x86 and tried SIW on it and it does retrieve the PK. Funny that it works on x86 but doesn't retrieve the x64 key. Hopefully the OP is using x86.

As a matter of fact, it doesn't matter. The PK is the same for both.

The Product ID (PID) is not the Product Key. There is nothing on the Welcome Center/More Details that reveals the Product Key or permits requesting a new one. There is a link for entering a new Product Key if the user has received one.

Unfortunately, I can run Windows Vista x64 on my PC. I will try to fix the problem (SIW Secrets) using WinXP x64. Thanks, Gabriel Topala. www.gtopala.com
